Robert Green Chrysler Dodge Jeep has always been a proud Chrysler dealership in Monticello, NY. As you can imagine we are proud of all the new cars that the automaker has provided us over the years, but we are even more proud of something else: Chrysler's generosity.
Today, we are pleased to announce that Chrysler has partnered with Scholastic, the United Way for Southeastern Michigan and Michigan No Kid Hungry to aid in the "Meet Up and Eat Up" campaign. Together, they will be donating 148,500 Scholastic books to elementary schools and learning centers all around Detroit.
We all know that books are important, but why? One of the reasons is that if a young child has more exposure to a large selection of books, that child will read more. This information was the result of a recent Kids & Family Reading Report research.
This act of kindness isn't the only one that Chrysler has been associated with in Detroit. Back in 1993, the automaker created the Drive for the Kids program where the brand and all of its dealers across the U.S. donate to the local schools. To date, Chrysler has provided over $4 million for this effort alone.
Its efforts like these that make us pleased to be associated with this brand. If you enjoyed reading this post as much as we enjoyed sharing it, stay tuned to our blog. We look forward to sharing with you future events such as these.
