If you're avid truck fans like us at Robert Green Chrysler Dodge Jeep, you just can't get enough of our new RAM truck lineup. They're the companion that helps you get the hard stuff done and gives you a pat on the back after a good day's work with the tap of a comfortable interior. Everyone's catching on, which is also why the brand's claimed several rewards throughout its time.

One of the most recent awards this year was recently given to the dependable RAM 1500. After testing it out, the experts at AutoGuide.com determined that the 1500 rightfully earned the title of its 2014 Truck of the Year.

Its four corner air suspension, eight speed automatic transmission, and 3.0-liter diesel engines were all contributing components that made the 1500 stand out. RAM did well by using the diesel engine since it beat out the competitors' fuel economy by at least 2 mpg.

What about the interior? The styling and technologies? While we'd certainly talk up these things found in all 1500 models, AutoGuide.com based its decision solely on the information provided above because each truck was driven empty with a 6,000 lb. trailer and 1,000 lbs. worth of payload in the bed.

"After increasing fuel economy and ultility by adding an active air suspension and 8-speed transmission last year, for 2014 the diesel engine is the icing on the cake," says Editorial Director Colum Wood. "RAM's new EcoDiesel engine doesn't just deliver V8 levels of torque, it does so with incredible fuel efficiency, and not just when cruising down the highway, but when tasked to do real work."1

Come see the 1500 here in our showroom, anytime. If you need a bit more muscle, we also have heavy duty trucks like the RAM 3500. Bring your questions, and we'll be ready to answer them and get you behind the wheel in no time.
