With additional trim options, the Ram 1500 is now available in nine trim levels: the Tradesman, HFE, Lone Star, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn, TRX and Limited trims. The Tradesman is the base trim, while TRX is the highest trim.
The latest model is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine, which generates up to 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet. An optional 5.7-liter V8 engine with an output of 305 horsepower is also available. Exclusive in the TRX trim is a powerful 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine boasting an incredible 720 horsepower. A 3.0-liter diesel V6 engine is also available.
The drivetrain is a standard front-wheel drive in lower trims and four-wheel drive on higher trims, though four-wheel drive is also available on lower trims.
The interior is functional and can be upgraded on the higher trims. Leather surfaces, heated seats, and panoramic ceilings are some of the upgradeable features. The standard seating capacity ranges from three to six occupants, depending on the cabin style.
The base model is equipped with an 8.4-inch touchscreen in terms of entertainment and technology, while the higher trims possess a 12-inch screen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability all come standard. The Uconnect system is also standard.
The Ram 1500 is designed to keep you, your passengers and your equipment safe as you drive between job sites. A variety of driver-assist features are available, including blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.
